NAOSH WEEK

Event Location & Address: Main kickoff will be at our worksite located at 1610 Park St in Regina, but events will be held in over 110 workplaces throughout Saskatchewan. all employees, offices, workplaces are encouraged to have an event at their workplace.

Hosting Organization: Saskatchewan Minsitry of Highways & Infrastructure

Event Description: Our main kickoff will be a presentation from a former RCMP accident re-construction specialist, speeches from our Minister and Deputy Minister of Highways. A fire extinguisher hands on training simulator and our safety booth display set up for information for our employees about safety in the workplace. All of our workplaces through out Sask are encouraged to host some type of event during NAOSH week, either through a bar-b-que, lunch, safety meeting, etc. we are holding a provincial wide contest to all employees that do a "safety deed" during the week and draws for prizes will be held. also during the week all workplaces throughout Sask hold their annual spring clean up at their shop, office, field locations, etc. Event participation is very high for this annual event as we are challenged by our almost 110 work locations throughout the prov. these events are held all through NAOSH week. As well all employees (1586 staff) are presented with a safety token for their commitment to safety all year long.

Event Description: The Prince Albert Regional Safety Committee and the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association and are once again hosting a NAOSH Week BBQ lunch to be held on Thursday May 6th, at Kinsmen Park, South parking lot (28th street and Central ave.) with live safety demonstrations. Come out to enjoy a meal and the opportunity to take in some great safety innovations and information. Delicious burgers and drinks will be available from 11:30 until 1:30pm, at a very reasonable price. There will be many prizes given away, and participants will have opportunities to raise their safety awareness.
